I met
with my mentor while enjoying dinner at Stupe.
We discussed the power and the process of self-reflection. I believe self-reflection is key to being
able to analyze my own strengths and weaknesses. Self-reflection is key to me being able to
grow as a person and in my faith. I came
to the realization through our discussion that often I must fail at something
to be able to understand it and succeed. I am often good at learning from my own
mistakes but poor at well executing things the first time around. I’m not very good at executing things right
the first time because I’m very good at ‘missing the point’. From the diagram of Hungry, Humble, Smart in
class I defiantly lack in the Smart category.
After he had shared some life examples I learned one really good way to
understand any objective is to ask questions until I know exactly what the
intentions are.
