Mentor blog 2

I had a really great meeting with my mentor. I actually have a new mentor named Chris Borrink. My previous mentor had a lot of out of town stuff to deal with, and so I decided it was best to write about my experiences with a different mentor. I met Chris after my presentation at the Wheaton Shark tank. He thought it was a huge coincidence that my business is a moving company because he actually used to work at alliance trucking, and now runs his own business helping moving companies to grow and expand. I've already done a lot of research on moving, but he showed me things that I had never known about. There were two really great take aways for me in this meeting. The first was the Wheaton mom's page. One of the ways in which Chris helps his clients is that he is on the Wheaton, Naperville, etc. Mom's pages. He reccomenda his clients anytime that a mom asks about moving, and is actually going to help invite me to those pages. The second takeaway was the U-ship site that he showed me. This site is a site that you can go to to bid on long distance moving jobs. The cool thing about this is that if I'm already moving a client with a small amount of stuff, I can group their move with other moves. Chris has been a real blessing in my life, and I'm excited that I've met him, and am going to continue being able to meet with him.
