While on the phone with William we discussed the strategies he uses to increase confidence and ways to be mentally stable at all times. The coolest part was that he has shaped these strategies around The Lord and what he says and calls us to! Enjoy!
The first is simple to treat your body like a temple, by resting, exercising, and consuming beneficial nutrients. Of Course this is easier said than done, but in doing these three things you develop a great amount of discipline that is guaranteed to carry into other areas of your life. With discipline comes confidence, because you realize that you are capable of conquering goals and holding yourself to a standard. This is what Our Heavenly Father calls us too. Second, is to picture yourself in uncomfortable scenarios and process them and how you would work through them, but the most important part is to constantly remind yourself in these situations that your identity is not rooted in what others think of you or the world thinks of you, but what your Heavenly Father thinks of you and says to you. Your identity must be rooted in christ! When learning to practice this on a regular basis, it will help prepare you for real life situations that you will eventually encounter. Finally, 'Disconnect and begin to truly connect.' What William meant by this is to unplug from the world on your mobile device that is constantly consuming your real life. After disconnecting from your device, you have defeated one of the most addicting and corrupted idols that is controlling the world! Begin to connect with living surrounding things; people, the earth, and communities. Pour the news of Jesus Christ into the things you are plugging into, it will begin to make an impact that Jesus is calling us to! Glorify him in all that you do. If you are weak in one of these three categories William has shared with us, then call on The Lord. His Word says "My grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Blessings, Jack
